Education with Eternity in Mind

With growing division and conflicts facing the world, we believe these problems are an opportunity for Kingdom-minded, Christ-centered leaders to emerge with positive, eternal impact.

Since its inception as a ministry of Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church, HCCA has been dedicated to nurturing young minds on a journey of academic excellence and spiritual growth. Our academy opened on September 8, 2020, spanning preschool through 5th grade, with plans to add a grade each year.

Over 30 years ago, Harp’s Crossing Baptist Church started a preschool, working with families to serve children from babies to Pre-K 4. Families began inquiring about the possibility of adding kindergarten during the 2018-2019 school year.

As we sought the Lord for His direction, He revealed his desires about our path forward.

Preschool and Kindergarten proved only the beginning of the Lord’s purposes for our school. Following His leadership, we undertook expanding through 5th grade for the 2020-2021 school year.

Following His Plan

As our school grew, we reached our building’s capacity. Once again, God was at work. He saw our needs and already had a plan. A couple church members notified us about a facility for sale directly across from HCBC. As a congregation, we sought God’s will through a prayer walk on the property.

We began what looked like a 7-year roadmap for our school. Approximately two weeks after the prayer walk, the Lord unveiled a new solution. Through another individual, we learned about our current property, also for sale, and the owners expressed a willingness to speak with us.

The moment we walked in the door, we knew it was God’s answer. We condensed our 7-year plan to 7 months. We officially closed on the Hwy 85 property May 24, 2023. We then enacted a 7-week strategy to prepare for the new school year. Our church community rallied to clean, repair, and paint, getting ready to welcome students for the 2023-2024 school year.

We opened our doors for the school year on August 7, expanding to 8th grade and later adding 9th grade. We will eventually extend our academy to 12th grade.

Harp’s Crossing Today

HCCA provides a holistic approach to education, encompassing the mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and social development of each child. We foster an environment where students flourish academically while developing their relationship with Christ.

Believing every child is uniquely created in God’s image, we mirror our approach and individually support each student in ways which help them become all God has created them to be.

We desire to lead students to love Jesus, train them to walk in Godly character, and equip them to follow Christ’s plan for their lives. Students who come to Harp’s Crossing Christian Academy receive an education with eternity in mind.
